Online Safety – JustTalk

We would like to share some information with parents and carers about the messaging app JusTalk. The standard version of JusTalk is intended for users aged 13 and over. There is also a JusTalk Kids version designed for younger children; however, this should only be used with parental supervision and appropriate safety settings in place.

We encourage parents and carers to take an active role in monitoring their child’s use of messaging apps and online communication, and to have regular conversations about staying safe online, using respectful language, and treating others with kindness.

At school, we teach and reinforce online safety and appropriate online behaviour through our Computing and PSHE curriculum, and we regularly revisit these messages with pupils.

Further guidance for parents about JusTalk has been shared to support families in making informed choices about online communication.
