The Institute of Imagination has been working with Bonner, and other local schools, over the past year to help promote the benefits of play, creative and collaborative thinking. They worked with some wonderfully imaginative students and parents from Year 4 and 5 to help design and deliver this event.

The day was packed with lots of activities for families to try out, including:

• Using junk materials to build amazing rockets and watch them fly in a wind tunnel
• Coding LEGO moon buggies
• Bringing stories about rescuing the planet to life through stop-frame animation
• Drawing superhero space comics
• Completing a special scavenger hunt to find clues that will save the planet
• Buying tea and cake from a stall, run by students to raise money for the school
